FRESHMAN ENGLISH DEPARTMENT 

The Department of English boasts of experienced and dedicated faculty who contribute to imparting quality education envisioned by MRU Hyderabad. The faculty are always in loop with the current developments in the field of language pedagogy, literature and ICT tools required for the effective teaching-learning process through participating in various national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs. The department offers courses in the direction of the overall development of students & communication skills, English language abilities, professional and academic skills at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A learner-centred environment prevails in the department with the support of Wi-Fi enabled smart classrooms. The department has recently established a state-of-the-art Computer Assisted Language Laboratory (CALL) with Cambridge LMS Software besides boasting of two Interactive Communication Skills Laboratories (ICS) and Smart Classrooms. Aligned with NEP2020 guidelines, our ambition is to prepare MRUH students to think critically, work creatively and succeed in a changing world.
