Enrollment – Rules, Regulations & Guidelines

1. INTRODUCTION

Malla Reddy University Hyderabad welcomes students from around the world and is committed to providing a globally relevant educational experience. The rules, regulations, and guidelines for international students seeking admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs at our University.

2. DEFINITION OF AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT

An International Student is defined as one who holds a passport/visa of a country other than India, including:

Foreign Nationals

Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)

Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)

Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs)

3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Completion of 12 years of formal schooling equivalent to Indian Class 12 (Higher Secondary).

Minimum academic percentage equivalent to 60% in qualifying exams (subject-specific requirements may apply).

Proficiency in English (TOEFL/IELTS scores recommended for non-English medium students).

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent.

Course-specific prerequisites as applicable.

English proficiency as above.

Ph.D. PROGRAMS

Master’s degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent.

Submission of research proposal.

Interview and/or written test as required by the department.

All applications must be submitted online through the University’s International Admissions Portal. Required documents (scanned and translated into English if necessary):

Academic transcripts and certificates

Passport copy

Proof of English proficiency (if applicable)

Statement of Purpose (SOP)

Letters of Recommendation (for PG/PhD)

Recent passport-size photograph

Application Deadlines

Fall Semester Intake: Apply by June 30th
Spring Semester Intake: Apply by December 31st

5. ADMISSION PROCESS

Evaluation of academic records by the International Admissions Committee.

Provisional admission offer via email.

Payment of registration and tuition fees.

Issue of admission letter for visa purposes.

6. VISA REQUIREMENTS

Students must obtain a valid Student Visa (S Visa) endorsed to Malla Reddy University Hyderabad.

Visa must be obtained before arriving in India.

The visa is to be renewed as per Indian regulations during the course period.

7. FEES AND PAYMENT

Tuition fees for international students are structured in USD or equivalent INR (USD 2500 per semester)

Initial registration and confirmation of seat are subject to payment of a non-refundable enrollment fee.

Scholarships may be available for meritorious international candidates.

8. HOSTEL AND ACCOMMODATION

International students are encouraged to stay in University hostels for cultural immersion and safety.

Separate blocks are available for international students.

Accommodation is provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.

9. HEALTH INSURANCE

International students must obtain valid medical insurance prior to travel.

A copy of the insurance document must be submitted at the time of admission.

Basic health services are available on campus.

10. STUDENT SUPPORT & ORIENTATION

A dedicated International Students Cell (ISC) supports students with academics, visas, travel, and cultural integration.

A mandatory orientation program is conducted at the start of each semester.

11. COMPLIANCE AND CONDUCT

International students must abide by the University’s Code of Conduct.
Violation of Indian laws or University rules may lead to disciplinary action or cancellation of enrollment.
Students must comply with FRRO registration (within 14 days of arrival in India) as per Indian Government norms. (If their visa validity exceeds 180 days.). Registration is done through the e-FRRO portal (https://indianfrro.gov.in/).
