About the event

Two- day workshop on “HYDROPONICS FARMING TECHNOLOGY” (APRIL 28th - 29th, 2022) was organized by School of Agricultural Sciences, Malla Reddy University, Hyderabad in association with NABARD was inaugurated in the School of Agricultural Sciences Campus on 28th April 2022.

Dr. A. Raja Reddy , Dean of Agricultural Sciences inaugurated the workshop. He delivered inaugural address on “Hydroponics Farming Technolog and Developments”.

Dr. V.S.K. Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Malla Reddy University presided over the inaugural session and motivated participants through his inspirational talk. He also emphasized the need of such workshops for updating knowledge of faculty and students.

Mrs. Swati Tiwari, AGM, NABARD, Telangana Regional Office, Mrs . Shivi Sharma, DDM, Medchal, NABARD, Prof. Mr Praveen Kumar, DDM, COIC, Hyderabad Cluster Office and Dr. Shri Ram Murthy, Former dean of ANGRAU emphasized the need of Hydroponic farming in current situations.

The Speaker Dr. Satyanarayana Reddy is an Agri- Professional holding Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Agricultural Biotechnology, Managing Director, Infinity Hydroponic Green Farms, delivered detailed information on cultivation practices of Hydroponics and advised the students to concentrate more on the latest technologies in the Agriculture and Horticulture. And he also motivated the students to focus on more food based start-ups. In the afternoon session of the event, the participating delegates were given hands on training on the Hydroponic unit i.e NFT System.

On the last day of the event, the Students from rural background and Faculty members have participated in the practical session of field visit at Infinity Hydroponic Green Farms Pvt. Ltd., Kondapur, Hyderabad.

The workshop was attended by 60 members of Rural youth more than 150 UG Students, Research Scholars and faculty.
