About Health Psychology

The Department of Health Psychology offers the B.Sc. (Hons.) Health Psychology programme with the objective of developing competent graduates with a strong foundation in psychological principles related to health, illness, and well-being. The programme emphasizes a bio-psychosocial approach, integrating theory, practice, research, and ethical standards in health psychology.

The curriculum focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, stress management, behavioral interventions, and psychosocial aspects of chronic and lifestyle-related conditions. The department encourages experiential learning, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration to prepare students for careers in healthcare settings, research institutions, and higher education.
