The Department of Biotechnology, Biochemistry & Microbiology has established strong and sustained collaborations with reputed diagnostic laboratories, research institutes, healthcare organizations, and biotechnology industries to enhance experiential learning and industry exposure. As a structured and mandatory component of the fourth-year academic curriculum, BMB students are deputed to these collaborating institutions for a one-year internship, where they receive hands-on training, skill-based learning, and practical exposure.

Through these academic–industry partnerships, students gain real-time experience in clinical diagnostics, biochemical investigations, molecular and microbiological testing, quality control, and laboratory management practices within standardized and regulatory-compliant laboratory environments. Exposure to advanced instrumentation and professional workflows significantly strengthens their technical competence, analytical skills, and professional confidence.
